STARTLED

She was excited to return home after six months, her company finally made it big.she longed to rush into her fiancés arms and make up for the lost time. she hugged him tightly only to find his arms firmly by his sides.he began awkwardly,"I'm  kind of seeing ... someone".after what seemed like an eternity, he told with certainty""Its over".her thoughts went back to the day when she received a lukewarm response from him on deciding to go ahead with her work and postpone the wedding.she wished she knew  then what she knew now.it was too late.

:( Sad for her. Only if he had waited :(
Some things are like that. They never wait for us. And we never know when they go away :(
Nice take on the prompt :)

It's must be heart-breaking for her when he choose to walk away and she was full of life. Distance did not make the heart grow fonder.
Time is a great healer and she will meet someone who will understand her better.

It hurts terribly when you give your heart away and have it broken into smithereens :( Hopefully, the lesson made her a stronger person. Nice take, Sahiti :)
